This Privacy Policy outlines how Vervelogic (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects the information retrieved through Facebook integration and other features of our management system software (“TMS”). It also collects, uses, and handles data when you use our Shopify application


1. Data Collection, Facebook Integration, and Shopify App Data

Our platform integrates with Facebook via the Facebook Login feature to provide enhanced marketing and ad account management capabilities. This integration involves the following:


  • Permissions Requested: ads_management, ads_read, read_insights, pages_read_engagement.
  • Token Storage: The token generated during Facebook login is stored securely in an encrypted format.
  • Data Fetched from Facebook AdsManager (Insights API):
    • Ad Account Details:
      • Ad Account ID, Ad Account Name, Total Balance, Total Amount Spent, Spending Limit, Currency, Timezone, Payment Type (Prepaid/Postpaid), and Creation Time.
    • Campaign Data:
      • Campaign ID, Campaign Name, Daily Budget, Daily Amount Spent, Performance Metrics (e.g., Purchases, Clicks, Impressions, Reach, Add to Cart), Conversion Values, ROAS, CPC, CTR, etc.
Shopify App Data Access

When merchants install our Shopify application, we request limited access to Shopify store data through Shopify's official APIs.

Data We Access:

  • Order Data (read_orders scope):
    • Total number of orders
    • Order purchase values and amounts
    • Order creation dates
    • Order financial status (paid, pending, refunded)
    • Order currency information

We do NOT access or store:

  • Customer names
  • Customer email addresses
  • Customer phone numbers
  • Customer shipping or billing addresses
  • Customer payment information or card details
  • Any other personally identifiable information (PII)
2. Purpose of Data Usage

The data collected via Facebook is used for the following purposes:


  • Client Reporting: Weekly reports are generated and shared with clients to provide updates on ad spend, campaign performance, and results.
  • Campaign Performance Analysis: Our team analyzes the data to identify high-performing campaigns, optimize results, and recommend improvements to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Service Optimization: Insights are used to make strategic adjustments to client campaigns to ensure cost-effective marketing outcomes.

Shopify Data Usage

  • Sales Analytics: Display total order count and revenue reports to merchants.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide merchants with insights into overall store performance.
  • Dashboard Metrics: Display key business metrics within our application dashboard.

We process only the minimum amount of Shopify data necessary to provide these services.

We do not use Shopify data for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to providing our application's functionality.


3. Data Storage and Security
  • All Facebook and Shopify data is transmitted securely using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption.
  • Facebook access tokens are stored in encrypted format.
  • Access to stored data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
  • Facebook advertising data is securely stored in our database and updated daily or whenever manually synchronized by an authorized TMS member.
  • Shopify order analytics may be temporarily cached to improve application performance.
  • We do not permanently store individual Shopify order records on our servers.
  • API access tokens are securely stored and never publicly exposed.
  • We regularly review and update our security practices to protect customer data.


4. Data Retention and Deletion
  • Facebook client data is retained only while clients actively use our marketing services.
  • Upon client deboarding, all associated Facebook advertising data is permanently deleted.
  • Shopify order analytics data may be temporarily cached to improve performance.
  • Cached Shopify data is automatically deleted within 24 hours.
  • When a merchant uninstalls our Shopify application, all associated cached data is deleted within 48 hours.


5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share Facebook or Shopify data with unauthorized third parties.

Data is accessed only by authorized personnel for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

We may share limited data only in the following situations:

  • Trusted service providers that help us operate our services under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Where disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.


6. User Rights

Clients and merchants have the right to:

  • Access the data we collect and process.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of their data.
  • Withdraw consent by disconnecting Facebook integration or uninstalling our Shopify application.
  • Request a copy of available data where applicable.


7. Cookies and Tracking

We may use cookies and similar technologies on our platform to enhance user experience and track service usage. These do not include data fetched from Facebook.


8. Compliance

We comply with applicable privacy laws and industry requirements, including:

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
  • Shopify Partner Program Agreement
  • Shopify API Terms of Service
  • Shopify Protected Customer Data Requirements
  • Applicable local privacy and data protection laws

We access Shopify data only through Shopify's official APIs and only within the permissions granted by merchants.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you may have additional rights under the GDPR, including:

  • Right to be informed
  • Right of access
  • Right to rectification
  • Right to erasure
  • Right to restrict processing
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object

Our lawful basis for processing Shopify order data is our legitimate interest in providing the analytics and reporting services requested when you install our application.

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what information is collected, request deletion of your information, and request that your information not be sold. We do not sell personal information.


9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes through the platform or via email.
